TCAC installation is simple and involves connecting only 5 wires. We recommend soldering but good quality crimping will be sufficient.

How to access air conditioner switch connector?
   
Pry out the stereo bezel using a flat blade screwdriver.
   
Remove four screws holding the stereo, pull it out, disconnect two connectors on the back and the antenna connector.
   
Reach behind AC switch and disconnect AC switch connector. You can see it in the picture at the top.
   
You will need to cut the WHITE/BLACK wire at pin #1 an inch away from the connector, connect the GREEN TCAC wire to the connector side of it and ORANGE TCAC wire to harness side. Soldering is recommended, good quality crimping will work too.
   
If you have an APEXi S-AFC you can tap right into S-AFC GREY Throttle Position wire. Otherwise you need to remove the ECU and tap into pin # 19 GREEN/WHITE wire. Click HERE for ECU removal instructions.
   
   

1 G ECU Pinouts.

The pin numbers are shown as looking at the ECU plug NOT  the wiring harness connector.

 
Here is a quick reference table with ECU and TCAC wire colors. You MUST connect WHITE TCAC wire to the ECU TPS signal (pin # 19 or GREEN/WHITE wire). You can connect TCAC RED wire to ECU +12V (pin # 107 or RED wire) and TCAC BLACK wire to ECU GROUND (pin # 106 or BLACK wire). However, you can hookup TCAC +12V to any other fusable +12V source and ground.

Do not forget to hookup GREEN and ORANGE TCAC wires to the air conditioner switch connector.

 

A small size makes TCAC easy to mount near the ECU or the AC switch.
